Marcie Ruderman

Marcie Ruderman has taught creative and expository writing, as well as film studies, literature, and Holocaust studies. She tries to instill in her students a love of the written word, for that is her favorite form of expression. She has written fiction, non-fiction, and poetry, and several of her works have been published in a variety of publications. Most recently, she was the first prize winner in THE MIDNIGHT OIL magazine's 2021 short story contest for her story entitled "The Unmooring". Ms. Ruderman's novel, THE MARGINAL WAY, a book about serial murders on the usually undisturbed Maine coast, is packed with suspense, drama, and even a bit of humor. She has also published a book of poems, FEMININE FACES, an exploration of the complex and myriad meanings of the feminine sensibility. OFF THE BEATEN TALE, her collection of short stories, and her newest book, is an exploration into the unusual, the macabre, and the technique of magical realism.
