I began making up silly songs, rhymes and stories for my first grandchild. When confined to the house during the Covid 19 lockdown, I put them to paper. As I was not artistic, I needed help with the illustrations. I asked every creative person I knew to draw for me. I became impatient waiting for others and decided to try drawing myself. It soon became my favourite part of the process. Once the drawings are done, I often go back and add details that the child may not notice, but the adult reader might enjoy. A friend said she thought I could market the books. She took several of them to work and sold them all. This gave me the confidence to pursue my passion of writing and illustrating children's books.
