Chelsea Lin Wallace

Chelsea Lin Wallace is an award-winning children’s author, poet, and school theater director with a master’s in education. She is the author of A Home Named Walter (Macmillan), Ode to a Bad Day (Chronicle), The Boo-Boos of Bluebell Elementary (Chronicle), Dare to be Daring (Abrams), and the upcoming We Are the Theater (Abrams), A Day in the Life of a Day (Chronicle), and the School Hero Series (Holiday House). She loves to write stories packed with kid-drama that touch the heart and tickle the funny bone. When she isn’t busy writing for kids she can be found cheering them on -- directing musical theater, coaching volleyball, and encouraging them through their ups and downs. She is represented by Jen Rofé at Andrea Brown Literary Agency and lives in Los Angeles with her husband, daughter, and her dog, Lucky.

Honors include The Boston Globe-Horn Book Award Honor, Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection, and Bank Street College of Education Best Book of the Year. Chelsea is a member of SCBWI and a Critique Ninja at the 12x12 Picture Book Challenge.
