Sarah Holmstrom is a recovering perfectionist! Especially as a new parent, Sarah struggled with feeling unequipped as a mom. She often felt alone and fearful that she was somehow messing her son up or not doing enough for him. When her daughter was born and diagnosed with a heart disease at only ten days old, she decided there was no other choice but to surrender her fears to the Lord. It was then that praying with and for her kids became a non-negotiable part of her day. This practice was life changing.
In 2018, she was invited by her close friend, Steph, to start a ministry that would help parents, grandparents, and child advocates everywhere to pray with and for their kids. They started running a blog together to help equip parents to pray in fun, simple, and creative ways with their kids. Their goal is to help parents learn to make prayer a way of life instead of another item on a checklist. They have been writing, connecting with parents and teachers on social media, creating prayer resources, and speaking to groups ever since.
Sarah is wife to her best friend, Eric, and mom to four—Charlie (9), Brinley (7), Lila (5), and Levi (3). Sarah has a degree in Theater Arts and a Masters degree in Education. She has taught elementary school and has worked in kids ministry. Her husband is a Pastor at Purpose Church in Pomona, California. Since 2015, she has worked as a part-time elementary creative director there as well and has earned the nickname—“Storyteller Sarah.” She is passionate about telling stories about God’s love to kids and grown-ups.
