I DID NOT WRITE "DREAMS ARE FOREVER," nor "MAGICAL OBSESSION ON SEALS HOLLOW ROAD " just so you know.
Turns out . . . I'm cool. Who knew?
In school I was not only a drama geek, but I had the double-whammy of also being a music geek! But you know what? A funny thing happened when I followed my drama and music passions all the way through adulthood: I am now a Fantasy writer, and an actor, and a jazz singer. I mean, I was always those things, but now, people tell me, "Wow! You're so cool!"
Consequently I get to call myself a musician, actor and writer, and I work in Port Coquitlam, BC.
After highschool I studied Theatre at UVic, and have been in shows like The Glass Menagerie, Twelfth Night, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, and Pinchpenny Phantom of the Opera. My love of supporting the arts for young people drew me to work as Musical Director for high school productions of shows like Les Mis, Hairspray, Urinetown, In the Heights, Rent, and more.
I sang classical music with the Vancouver Bach Choir, before returning to jazz, rock and R&B. I've been the vocalist for the big band, FAT Jazz for over twenty years, and I'm half of a jazz duo called the Itty Bitty Big Band.
In all that spare time I have, I do audiobook narration of my own work, and for others.
Dark chocolate, single malt scotch, pie, and being a mum and a Gran: these are some of my favourite things.
