Rev Marlon D Henderson Sr
Marlon D. Henderson, Sr is an accomplished pastor and an emerging scholar with a deep commitment to Christian ministry. He earned his B.S. in Religion Biblical and Theological Studies from Liberty University’s Rawlings School of Divinity in Lynchburg, VA, before going on to earn his M.Div in Biblical Languages from Houston Christian University (formerly Houston Baptist University) in Houston, TX. He was the previous pastor of the Terry's Creek Baptist Church in Gillsburg, MS, where the church experienced tremendous growth. Marlon is currently pursuing a PhD in Organizational Leadership at Luther Rice College and Seminary in Lithonia, GA, where he is deepening his knowledge and understanding of church revitalization, church planting, and black church leadership.
Marlon's passion for ministry is evident in his pastoral work. He is the founding pastor of Empowering Life Christian Church in Magnolia, MS, where he has helped to build a thriving community of believers committed to serving their neighbors and sharing the love of Christ. He is also the current pastor of Union Chapel Baptist Church in Clinton, LA and Antioch Baptist Church in Hammond, LA, where he has continued to inspire and lead his congregations through his dedication to expository preaching and his focus on empowering and revitalizing the church.
Marlon is a devoted family man and is happily married to Tira, with whom he shares five children and one god-child. He is deeply committed to his family and strives to be a positive role model for his children and a loving husband to his wife. Overall, Marlon D.
