Gary Barkhuizen

I am a Professor of Applied Linguistics at the University of Auckland in New Zealand. I have worked as an English teacher and a teacher educator in South Africa and the US and now in New Zealand for the past twenty years. I present at conferences and give lectures and workshops in many countries around the world. My areas of teaching and research interest are language teacher education, teacher and learner identity, study abroad, and narrative inquiry.
