Elizabeth Kidson is a South African born poet and author. This is her first publication, a blend of autobiography and poetry.
Elizabeth was born in Vryburg, South Africa, in 1949 and grew up in an Afrikaans home as the daughter of Lourens and Anna Vorster. Her first marriage ended after much unhappiness but blessed her with a son (Marius) and a daughter (Anita). Her second marriage gave her a set of twin boys (Laurence & Duncan) as well as a set of twin girls (Angela & Jeanette).
While pursuing the proud trade of homemaker for well over a decade, she also indulged her other passions of floristry, growing orchids, stained glass art, and cake decorating, thus toiling as a handmaiden of the arts.
Her family emigrated to the United States of America during 1987 where they became citizens and continue to live today in Miami, Florida. What started out as a grand adventure full of promise in a new country, would bring its own tragedy.
