Bob Svihovec

Bob Svihovec describes himself as a storyteller and animator who is deeply interested in ancient mythology. He believes that these epic themes can inspire us to transcend beyond our fixed convictions and manifest a new vision for a more purposeful life. According to Joseph Campbell, "The Hero With a Thousand Faces," a hero ventures forth from the world of common day into a region of supernatural wonder, encounters fabulous forces, and wins a decisive victory. The hero returns from this mysterious adventure with the power to bestow boons on his fellow man. This is the pattern of the myth and the pattern of these fantasies of the psyche.

Bob has published the graphic novel "Hercules: The Mythic Journey Retold" and created several animated films, a children's story called "Little Blue," the Buddhist story "The Ritual Cat," and "ONE: World Hope." He recently published a young adult mythic adventure called "Lugh: The Shining One." He also released the second edition of "Little Blue," with author Fred Benton Holmberg reading each page. Bob is living the dream with the help of a few close wellsprings in the wilderness, and he hopes to develop further the stories that touch our hearts.
