Matthew Palai was born and raised in India where he studied in a seminary to become a Catholic priest; however, God had other plans. He left the seminary, joined the Indian military, became an electrical engineer, and then immigrated the United States in the 1980s. In the United States, he worked for various government agencies including Mass Transit, Department of Public Welfare, Department of Corrections, and Department of Health. He is adept in philosophy, theology, engineering, and in medical sciences. His hobbies include reading and observing the world around him for correlations between conduct and religious practices. His first book, “The Lord’s Prayer: Live it or Quit Saying It”, was written to educate his readers that it is better not to say The Lord’s Prayer, if it is not lived, as it is like an antibiotic which will work against you if it does not work for you.
Psalms of Covid-19, was written to emphasize the importance of gratitude to all who have helped us to survive in this beautiful world and to thank God for all the gifts he has showered upon us. This book reminds everyone that we all are the product of the benevolence and beneficence of others. The book will fill the reader with a sense of gratitude for all that they have received from God, nature, and others. They will begin to appreciate rather than complain, cherish rather than discard, and protect what they have been given rather than exploit, and will ultimately become more generous rather than selfish.
