Scott Randall Paine

SCOTT RANDALL PAINE is a Catholic priest, philosopher and retired titular professor of philosophy at the University of Brasília, where he is currently senior collaborator in graduate studies. He took his doctorate in philosophy in Rome in 1988 and has since lived, studied, and taught in Europe, Asia, and South America. His recent works include an edition of the essays of Bernard Philip Kelly - A CATHOLIC MIND AWAKE (2017); a study of the thought of G.K. Chesterton - THE UNIVERSE AND MR. CHESTERTON (2nd edition, 2019, in Portuguese as CHESTERTON E O UNIVERSO, 2008); THE OTHER WORLD WE LIVE IN: A Catholic Vision of Angelic Reality (2021); a philosophical travelogue - SEVEN ISLANDS: A Philosopher Island-Hops Through the World (2021); a survey of multiple philosophical perspectives on various areas - FACE TO FACE WITH EVERYTHING (Portuguese, 2025; English, 2026).
