Gail Ruth Peterson

Hi! My name is Gail Ruth Peterson. I am a storyteller. Sometimes I tell a story in a painting or sketch, sometimes in the written or spoken word. I tell stories about God--who He says He is, what He does and has done, and all the ways He's shown up in my life and the life of friends and family over the years.

My greatest passion is for all people to experience the relationship He desires each of us to have with Him. The day I came to know my Heavenly Father transformed my life forever. His love and grace have poured out every gift and talent I have today. I believe many are searching for the joy I've come to know, so I share it in every creative way I can.

God has mended many broken pieces and filled many empty places of my life in amazing ways throughout the years though life has still had its share of hardships, disappointments, and grief. Today, His faithfulness drives my passion for bringing hope and building faith in others' lives by proclaiming what God can do to the life, heart, and minds of those who seek Him. While He's never parted a raging river for me (because I never needed Him to), He is the same God as Moses' day; He is for me and for you too. His power is transforming to the core.

In 2022 I'm writing a series of short-read books called "Borrow My Joshua Stones." When Joshua, by God's direction, led the Israelites across the Jordan to the Promised Land, he had one man from each of the 12 tribes take a stone from Jordan and pile them up. The purpose was to tell the stories about God's faithfulness to the children and their children for generations to come when they'd ask about the stones. God knows we need reminders of His faithfulness.

Each of the books in this 12-months/12 books series will tell of amazing ways God showed up in my life with Him that started in 1994. God answered prayers miraculously through some difficult and challenging seasons that grew and strengthened my faith for each season of challenges that followed. God builds our faith by showing us His faithfulness, one season at a time. So, if you or someone you know doesn't have Joshua Stones to hold to in their season of uncertainty, they can borrow mine for a while! The first one comes out on January 1st! It's entitled "Merry Christmas, Love, God."

I also love to paint, sketch, reflect, and write about the amazing beauty of God's creation. Books, poetry, workshops, and workbooks will be coming out soon that display and reflect upon His intricate creation. I look forward to hearing from those who read and are encouraged by my books and materials. I love to write and create, and there is no question that it's a gift from God that I can do any of it at all!
