Before my husband and I became parents in 2006, we loved to travel and feared having kids would mean sacrificing it. Instead we soon realized we could enjoy traveling just as much with our two boys in tow. Relaxing? Not really. But I wouldn't want it any other way.
A Colorado native, I received my master’s in journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2002; in 2014, I launched my own family-travel site, www.momfari.com. I've since contributed as a freelance writer and editor to several publications, including Outdoor Families Magazine, TripSavvy, Smarter Travel, The Denver Post, 5280.com, TravelAge West / Family Getaways, Colorado Parent magazine, and Colorado Ski Country USA. I live in the same city where I was raised, Longmont, with my husband, two sons, Brody and Colin, and two huskies, Tasha and Boris.
