Linda Settles

Hello Readers,

Thank you for your interest in my books. I have written several books on the subject of abuse, and particularly sexual abuse. Having survived twenty-eight years in the anguish and trauma of abuse, I knew I had to reach out to others who have suffered as I have. I fled my native home in 1985 and began my journey of healing, gaining an education to combine with personal experience of multiple kinds of abuse in my birth home. I was second to the eldest of seven children but lost my only older sibling, Eddie, when he was run over by a car and died when he was 9 and I was 8 years old. I stayed until the last sibling was out of the house and then fled the state. I never looked back. In 1988 I met and married an amazing man, Michael Settles, and had two beautiful daughters. Mike died in 2010 and I stopped writing. I felt part of me died with him. I found that my recovery was shaken and felt abandoned by both Mike and God. In 2012, I met and married another wonderful man, Dennis Zeboskey. I am twice blessed and so grateful to a loving God who has given me a voice to speak up for those who can't yet speak up for themselves. I am working on a program that can be used in churches, community outreaches, at other venues to safely walk alongside other survivors of abuse as they seek help and healing. Please visit my website: www.redeemingourtreasures.com for information and free downloads that can be used to help abuse survivors work through the trauma of their past. If you are interested in starting a Redeeming Treasures group, please reach out to me at Linda@redeemingourtreasures.com. It is my desire to train others to present a Christ Centered approach to recovery from abuse. So many survivors suffer alone. This should not be! If you are interested in leading a Redeeming Treasures Fellowship, please contact me. Together we can make a difference in so many lives!

Please check out also my allegorical books in the trilogy, Quest for The Other Kingdom. The characters in these fantasy novels may remind you of the Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyon. You will find yourself drawn to the characters and you may recognize many of them friends, such as The Messenger, Addar (Ruler of the Universe) and Immon, beloved Son of Addar. The Silver Birch Tree spreads its fragrance throughout the Land of Adwam and draws many to rest beneath its branches. The adventures of young Brae, a slave boy who flees the City of Bondage may remind you of your own journey to 'The Other Kingdom.'

Thank you for taking time to read my bio. I hope you enjoy reading my books as well.
