Andrej Voth was born in Prokopievsk, Siberia, into a family that weathered the storms of socialism under the oppressive Stalinist regime. His formative years were shaped by the harsh realities of life in the Soviet Union, where he completed eight years of schooling before serving in the Soviet army. Following his military discharge, Andrej's life took a dramatic turn when his family was forced to leave the USSR, embarking on a journey that led them to Germany.
In Germany, Andrej discovered the transformative power of freedom and education. He pursued academic studies across four continents, earning degrees from esteemed institutions in Germany, Canada, France, and Australia. His insatiable curiosity drove him to explore over 30 countries, immersing himself in diverse cultures and histories. This journey fueled his passion for anthropology, theology, human rights, and the study of world religions, all of which continue to shape his writing and speaking engagements today.
Andrej’s professional path has been as diverse as his travels. From labouring as a construction worker and semi-truck driver to teaching as a seminary professor, he has embraced each role with enthusiasm and resilience, funding his global adventures while accumulating a wealth of life experience.
Now semi-retired, Andrej lives with his wife Erna in northern Alberta, where they enjoy the peace and beauty of rural life. They are proud parents of two sons, cherished daughters-in-law, and a beloved grandchild. True to his roots and heritage, Andrej is an avid restorer of antique trucks, furniture, and homes. He is also developing his skills as a gardener, beekeeper, and outdoor enthusiast.
Andrej is the author of The Truth Will Never Die, the first in a biographical series chronicling his father’s incredible journey of faith, survival, and resilience in the face of Soviet oppression. His writing weaves personal narrative with historical insight, offering readers a compelling look at the human spirit’s endurance and the unyielding pursuit of truth.
When he isn’t writing or restoring antiques, Andrej can build a dacha, honing his hunting and fishing skills, or reflecting on life’s big questions in his blog, The Frozen Frontier, combining biblical wisdom with political and cultural commentary.
