I retired in 2020 after serving the Cottage Grove, Minnesota area for over 38 years as a family physician. I wrote my first book about my wife who died of brain cancer in 2016 and who taught me how to make the most of each day of life. I recently finished my 2nd book "What Should I Do?" A Family Physician Discusses Abortion, Religious Freedom, and Difficult Decisions. I have been interested in taking care of the environment, upon which we all depend, since I was in high school and continue to support a variety of organizations such as The Nature Conservancy, the World Wildlife Fund, and the Natural Resources Defense Council. For the sake of my children and grandchildren as well as all of us, I will continue to try to do my part of making this world a better place.
