My love of words evolved from my English teacher who inspired me from the age of twelve. Adding a single adjective changed the whole concept of a sentence and bought the person or situation to life. I found this empowering when writing. Forming the personalities of the characters in my stories allows me to control their destiny. This is what excites me. Friends ask what is the end of your story going to be, and I have to say, I don’t know, I wait for my characters to tell me. Everyone who has read The Red Dress say the characters are brought to life and they can see them performing in front of them and were eagerly awaiting the publishing of my second book The Black Orchid in which the main character continues her life. After winning an award for the best short story written throughout the South East of London, writing has always been my passion.
