John was raised on his grandfather’s ranch in the Fresno, California area. As a child, he worked side by side with migrant farmworkers and learned the importance of second languages and learning other cultures. His grandfather taught him the importance of respecting others and especially taking care of those who were working so hard to help the family ranch.
After leaving the military, he became an ER nurse and again started to learn the importance of a second language. He realized that there was a true need for people to learn Spanish as it was becoming more widely used. At the same time, there was a need for Spanish-speaking people here to learn English so they could communicate better and seek an education.
This book is an attempt to educate and bridge language and cultures.
