Being an avid writer all her life, Michelle worked on the newspaper staff in both high school and college. She had goals of writing world news, but changed her mind after seeing Dan Rather reporting amidst bombs exploding in Iran during the Operation Desert Storm. With a renewed attitude toward writing, she went inward and added author credit to her name in 2009, when she released her first book “Have You Ever Seen a Cow with Tennis Shoes On?” Growing up in a home that always encouraged Michelle to pursue her dreams, she was sure to go far. She has added 3 more titles to her author credit, 7 Keys of a Queen: Releasing the Entrepreneurial Woman, Give Your Intentions Some Attention, See Yourself to Be Yourself, Girl, MakeUP Your Mind and Simply Pray which she co-authored with her husband, Brian.
With that dream accomplished, she quickly turned to learning more about the publishing industry. When you talk about mastering a craft, this girl went to work. From there, she realized that her purpose wasn’t just for her, but it was for others and in 2010, she birthed her company, Purpose Publishing, which consults and publishes the works of independent authors. With more than 100 books and 100 authors to the credit of Purpose Publishing, Michelle is still leading the way for new authors across the nation and across the world. Purpose Publishing has achieved recognition amongst peers winning multiple awards for publishing and books within a variety of categories. Michelle doesn’t conform to busy, busy conforms to Michelle.
With her husband, children, community relations efforts and Purpose Publishing this she has no time to waste. An avid reader, advocate for women and girls, Michelle loves to sharing big ideas and is creative and with loads of energy. Many call her lightning in a bottle and she calls many her friends.
