Louise Blocker

The last-born of eleven, I left Swan Lake's "Cotton Fields" to prepare for a career of my choice, which began as a language arts and social studies teacher in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Since 1973, I have lived in Southern California with mostly "Good Vibrations"-- only two major shakes: my 1990 divorce and the 1994 Northridge Earthquake. Now an AstraZeneca retiree, I am making my debut as a word-arranger, whoops, make that as a writer.

When not engaged with my son and grandson, negotiating with my computer or sudoku, procrastinating or writing, I listen to music and read. I have a passion for truth, children and humanitarian causes, respectively academia, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Smile Train, Doctors without Borders and Habitat for Humanity.
