Denice Colson PhD

Dr. Colson is passionate about helping people heal from their wounds and authentically connecting them with Jesus. She has worked in counseling since 1982 and has made it her life's work to bring emotional healing to others. "Break EVERY Stinking Chain! Healing for Hidden Wounds" is the curriculum she has designed and published for trauma survivors and is available on Amazon.com. Her training manual, "The Strategic Trauma and Abuse Recovery System: A Christian-Integrated, Comprehensive, 3-Phase Model for Individual and Group Counseling," is provided in her 3-day intensive workshop and available on Amazon.com. Her most recent book, “Trauma: 10 Reasons Why Christians NEED to be Talking About It,” is available as an e-book and a paperback book on Amazon.com.

She’s licensed as a professional counselor in Georgia and Certified as an addiction counselor. She is the co-founder and executive director of Eagle's Landing Christian Counseling Center, Inc, with offices in McDonough, Covington, and Locust Grove, Georgia. She is the founder of Trauma Education & Consultation Services. During her 40 years in the field, she has developed The Strategic Trauma and Abuse Recovery System (12STR), a 3-phase, 12-stage, Christian- integrated process for trauma recovery.

She loves Jesus and the Church and has served at Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church for the past 22 years. She currently is supervising interns, doing public speaking events, training, and consulting.
