Andrea Raguzzino

Lawyer, he was born in Naples, where he works and lives with his wife Arianna, daughters Agata and Anita, and dog Caty.

Passionate about genre literature and comics, he has dabbled in writing since he first held a pen, but believes his true calling is cinema.

Author of many unfinished works, he published the short story "Buon compleanno" in issue 1 of the magazine Strane Storie (2000, Lo Stregatto Editore editions) and the short story "La grande occasione di Jack Rubino" in the collection La cattiva strada. Antoligia di racconti noir (2020, Filigrana editions).

Since 1997, he has written and published songs with Liberi Su Cauzione.

He created the character of Jack Rubino as an homage to the great American authors of classic noir, from Dashiell Hammet to Raymond Chandler, aspiring to draw on their essential lessons while mixing in a bit of healthy Mediterranean irony.

Under the Jack Edizioni imprint, he has published the novels Un amico nei guai per Jack Rubino (2021), Lontano da casa. U'indagine di Jack Rubino (2022), and Jack Rubino: il caso Helena Rinaldi è tuo! (2023), he has contributed his short stories to the collections Due anni di Jack (2023) and Oltre i confini. DIeci racconti breathless (2024, edited by Elisa Averna), and he has edited the collection Aneddoti. Undici Piccoli racconti (2024).
