Biography of Dr. Cheryl Smith
Dr. Cheryl R. Smith is a native of Baltimore, Maryland and has worked as an Educator, Administrator, and Educational Consultant in the Public School arena for over 28 years equipping children and educators. She grew up and was educated in the inner city and has always been focus-driven on helping others and making a difference.
Her love of learning has equipped her to continue to pursue education as well as teach in public and private settings equipping children, teens, men, and women. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree two Master’s Degrees, a Doctorate Degree, and is currently working on another Doctorate in Educational Leadership.
Dr. Smith has been in ministry for more than 25 years. Her passion for ministry and her love for people has enabled her to consistently be a source of encouragement and strength to those she meets and with whom she comes in contact.
Her love of writing began as a child with short narratives and poems. She is a member of the International Society of Poets and had her first poem published in an Anthology entitled Portraits of Life in 1996. Dr. Smith is the author of Pain With A Purpose, It’s Ok To Breathe Again: Devotions for the Soul, When Women Speak ,an anthology composed with 5 other amazing writers, and recently a 4th book entitled, Power to Transform. She seeks to empower others through workshops, conferences, retreats, devotionals, and blogs.
