Milton Benson Jr

Was born and raised in Harlem New York. He is the 3rd child of 6. He started writing at the early age of 10 years old after finding a rap song his uncle Ronald had written. That began his path to writing songs, and then later experimenting with other creative writings, like poems and short stories.

he experienced a life changing event when he was 18 years old. Within that part of his life he met a young man who just had a baby with his girlfriend . She broke up with him before he could see the baby. Distraught and in tears he didn't know what to do to be back in her life and see his baby. So Milton consoled him, then wrote an amazing love poem for him to give to her. To his surprise the next time Milton ran into the young man , he was with his girlfriend and daughter. The young man handed the baby over to Milton then whispered to him thank you!

That situation made him realize that he can change someone's life with his gift . He continued to write but with deeper passion to uplift and reach his people. So eventually he became a community activist helping in the struggle for equality for African Americans.
