LITERATURE FOR PEACE

Mohammad Ziaee (1977); Iranian author and anti-war and anti-dictatorship political activist who for this reason has record of being arrested in his country, in the student protests of 1999, when he was student. He has Master's degree in remote sensing ( civil engineering ) and studies and researches in Literature, Political Philosophy and Political Psychology.

His works of fiction are about different nations and cultures. His political works are about dictators and dictatorship regimes which he has fought against it for years. He has a new idea about history named "the Entropy of History"; means that history is based on cycles and periods of disorder which is always increasing and intensifying,... that is due to the nature of man and human societies, as his desires and needs are always developing and increasing. On the other hand, his desire to achieve his hopes and wishes has also been increasing and intensifying and due to entropy related to consciousness and economy, they can never be fully achieved. So the spirit of disorder has dominated society and history and is endless and eternal, according to entropy. So no current political system will reach stability and eternity for ever.

He is the founder and pioneer of writing novel and story about other nations based on their history and culture, as he hopes that this way, could be a new method for peace and friendship and peaceful coexistence between nations, to make the world free from hatred and war, which are the results of authoritarian and dictatorship regimes. To make the world a better place; with using these diversities in race, color, religion, nationality, language and culture. Diversities that are for peaceful coexistence and beauty and attractiveness of life, and to get rid of boredom and depression, fatigue, and stagnation.

These purposes are mentioned in holy books; ( in Quran- Sura: Rome-22: And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and the diversity of your languages and your colors. Indeed in that are signs for those who know. --- Sura: Hujuraat-13: .. and made you peoples and tribes that you may know each others --- Sura: Jonah-25: And God invites to the abode of peace.... ) .... ( Old Testament: Psalm 34:14: ... seek peace and pursue it. ) --- ( New Testament: Romans 14:17-19: For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,...) AND... However these diversities have become the tools of superiority and supremacy by war and spreading the hatred and creating the fear of each other by dictatorship regimes, contrary to the philosophy of creation, because dictators want to dominate the world for more power and more wealth.

So, he invites all the writers of the world to write novels and stories about other nations, for friendship and peace among nations; with the positive effect they can make in their society and so, in the world, with the power, ability and miracle of the pen. Although, this is not so easy and requires knowledge of strange cultures and histories and even details about the life of other nations, but it is doable and achievable, by getting to know and bringing nations closer to each other.

It is our purpose: for a world free of hatred and war and those who spread war and hatred; Literature for Peace.
