Lara Cullen

Lara Cullen is a self-published writer living in Newport, RI. She is a married mom to three sons, who were the inspiration behind her first book, "Little Boy Land." She wrote and illustrated the book over a decade ago, and then wrote, "Little Girl Land," as its counterpart, drawing inspiration from her childhood growing up with three sisters.

Her third book, "Just Grieve," is a collection of poems she wrote along the way of experiencing loss, and the grief that accompanied those times. She longed to put to words the complicated emotion and create a gift to give to those wading through some of the hardest moments in their lives.

Lara is a creator, who never sticks to one particular medium, some days painting and taking photographs, but everyday writing. For the past three years she has been withdrawn and living by the words, "This is a period of gestation which precedes a rebirth." Although the time has not arrived, in her solitude she has continued creating. There will be more to come soon:)
