Meredith Woods Potter

Meredith Woods Potter is well known for her insightful and knowledgeable sermons. People have said that they would check the Sunday schedule to be sure they wouldn’t miss out when she was preaching. Her preaching was enriched by unique life experiences: spending childhood years in a foreign country, being a single mother of four boys, serving as a college math professor, feeling the call to ordained ministry as a 40-something, before women were even being ordained in the Episcopal Church, and being assigned to a Korean congregation as her first placement. Her sermons are solidly based in scripture and study, but her style is personal and speaks directly to her hearers. Her willingness to take the Christmas morning services for so many years attests to her dedication to having families center Christmas in Christ. She continues to enrich her study of the faith by studying Hebrew in her retirement!
