George Platt

George R. Platt has been President of The Harty Press, Inc since 1982. He and his brothers, Kevin and Michael led Harty from under a million dollar in sales to over 20 million in its best year.

George was responsible for the strategy and execution of the marketing and sales side of the business. George is active in the Seventh-day Adventist Church in New Haven and is a board member and Treasurer of the church’s school, Laurel Oaks Adventist School offering grades 1-8 in Hamden, CT.

He has held all leadership positions in Connecticut’s printing industry associations. George served as the Industry Co-Chair of the Greater New Haven Postal Customer Council.

Harty was founded in 1900 withstood many world wars and countless recessions. Harty was not able to survive Covod-19 and the following pandemic. In April of 2020 George brought all his sales and most of his sales team to GHP Media Inc in West Haven, CT. As Vice President of Sales & Marketing , George is responsible for the book of business that came from Harty and the marketing of GHP Media.
