Babak Azizzadeh

Dr. Babak Azizzadeh is an internationally renowned facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, published author, clinical trial industry expert, philanthropist, host of the SMILE podcast, and an angel investor in socially impactful life science industry. After completing his fellowship at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Azizzadeh established a health care institute in California focused on improving people’s lives through state of the art clinical care, advanced research, education, empowerment and social impact entrepreneurship.

Dr. Azizzadeh is an Associate Clinical Professor at UCLA, a double board-certified surgeon at Cedars-Sinai and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is one of the most sought-after health care industry experts in the country. He has been featured on Oprah, New York Times, Doctors, People, Dr. Oz and other media. He has been chosen by his peers and US World & News as one of the top physicians and treats dignitaries and heads of states from across the world.

He routinely travel to developing countries performing pro-Bono facial reconstruction and is on the boards of the Global Smile Foundation and Facial Paralysis & Bells Palsy Foundation.

Beyond his clinical expertise and achievements in facial rejuvenation, rhinoplasty and facial paralysis (Bell’s Palsy, Moebius, Acoustic Neuroma, Ramsay Hunt, synkinesis), Dr. Azizzadeh has maintained deep academic roots and has been actively engaged in scientific research. He has conducted research with Nobel Laureate, Dr. Lou Ignarro, pioneered life changing plastic surgical procedures and has extensively published peer-reviewed scientific articles. He has been the organizer as well as invited keynote speaker at numerous national and international meetings and the lead editor of multiple best-selling plastic surgery textbooks.

Dr. Azizzadeh received his undergraduate and medical degree from UCLA and completed his

surgical training at Harvard Medical School.
