Janice Strootman

Jan Strootman has published poems in WINK, MinnPost, and Cathay Pacific. She lives in Bloomington, Minnesota with her husband Dennis and little dog Ellie. She travels between Hawaii and Dubai to visit her daughter and son and five granddaughters.

She is a retired kindergarten teacher who taught in Minnesota, Hong Kong, Belarus and Slovakia. She has a master’s degree in Education from Mankato University.

Her thesis was chosen “Best of the Year” by Phi Beta Kappan in 1978.
