Mr. Kurt Wytrykush

Hi, my name is Kurt Wytrykush and I am a new author in the kids adventure and fantasy space. My full time job (day to day) is as the owner of a small marketing, media strategy, design and video production company, in Calgary, Alberta Canada. Needless to say, given my professional background, I have always been passionate about creative work like production, design and writing. But I never actually entertained writing and publishing a book until recently.

The Art Girl and The Creative Crew book series was inspired by our two young daughters, who one day posed a question to us: Why are all super heroes either super fast, or super strong or super muscular? Why can't they be super creative? Or super artistic? Great question we thought, as my wife and I also wondered why there wasn't a more creative superhero somewhere out there in the superhero universe.

So, how did it all start? Prior to our kids presenting this unique idea to us, they had been involved in a team sport that required some aggression and battling during games. It was after one of these games, when our oldest daughter first asked why everything had to be about battling? Why couldn't there be more creative super powers out there? A curious question for sure, that had our entire family thinking about the prospect of such a cool character. Then, after a little bit of careful and super creative thinking, Art Girl was born. What started as a family project, inspired by the foresight of our two young daughters, has now become a truly unique book with lots of action, adventure, cool characters, super villains and some very recognizable artistic mentors.

While it may be true that I am listed as the author and that I have taken the time to write, produce and publish the book, I have to thank my wife for her amazing support (as well as some awesome ideas for the book), as well as our two daughters for their wonderfully creative idea, their input into every chapter of the book and their vision for so many more Art Girl books going forward.

I am excited that we have produced such a creative read and I am looking forward to many more books in the Art Girl series. If you and your kids love art, love creativity or just love a good, fun book with lots of action, adventure, super heroes and villains, then we look forward to you joining us on the Art Girl adventure.

I am excited to be a new author in the kids space, as I really am a big, giant kid at heart and I'm looking forward with anticipation to more and more Art Girl books in the future (as well as a few other cool kids books too).
