Michael Sortino

Ever since my public debut in the 3rd grade, reading to the class my often-misunderstood short-story, The Gorilla and the Cliff, I have been hooked on writing to bring joy and thrills and chills and various other good things to people. I love comedy, although my first attempt at stand-up caused me to sit down dejectedly-- but I have excelled in more group comedy ventures, running an improv group, creating sketch comedy and performing my works in front of a wide variety of audiences through the years. My screenplays have been read by many, produced by none, yet I muddle on as we all must. My books are for kids of all ages, and I hope they can offer a surprisingly refreshing treat for you and your loved ones, like that one, preciously sweet blackberry you find in a handful of sours.
