Hanneke Boot

On August 25, 1962 I was born in Heemstede Holland. I turned out to have a congenital muscle/joint disorder. That meant the necessary operations in the first year. After a regular kindergarten I went to a primary school, especially for physically handicapped children. It soon became apparent that I had a talent for drawing and writing. From secondary education I increasingly felt the need to expand my drawing skills. In addition, I attended all kinds of separate painting courses to master the painting technique. When I got a little more certainty during that period, I registered with the Association for mouth and foot painters. I also followed a written study in social sciences at the open university. I have been giving lectures about my work and life for several years now.
