Leon Bertoletti

Leon Bertoletti is a journalist, ordained minister, and writer: three vocations that, in his books, never ignore one another. Born in Switzerland in 1971, he studied Philosophy at the Faculty of Theology of Northern Italy as well as Law. A pastor of the Universal Life Church, he is editor-in-chief of the journal Vigilię and contributes to various publications on information and culture.

His works range from religious essays and biblical translations to historical novels and poetry: different paths united by the same questioning of humanity and the sacred.

As a reporter, he has worked in London, Brussels, Milan, and Lugano. A correspondent for ANSA and editor for City, he has written for numerous outlets including Libero, Diario, Il Sole 24 Ore NordEst, Il Gazzettino, Avvenire, Giornale del Popolo, and Corriere del Ticino. A radio presenter, in the 1990s he founded an Italian gospel music group, which left him more harmonies than success.
