Mary Harboe

Mary Harboe is a well travelled, award-winning journalist and broadcaster. She moved to Spain in the late 1980s and it was in Marbella - after meeting Jenny Gucci - that she became interested in the real story behind the Gucci label. “Gucci Wars” was first published by John Blake in 2008. An updated and revised version - “Gucci Wars - Jenny Gucci’s Story” came out in November, 2021.

With two adult children, and recently remarried, Mary has returned to her roots in the English countryside where she also shares her home with Maddie, a gorgeous ginger cockapoo-poo, and Mason the mischievous marmalade cat.

She is currently writing her first novel which is set in Norfolk (UK) and the Costa del Sol (Spain).
