David E. Thomley is a retired deputy chief of police from South Carolina. He and his wife, Denise, have five adult children and four grandchildren. Since his retirement, David has continued to work full-time. He is currently the director of safety and security at Camden Military Academy; he also teaches criminology, and coaches football and basketball. During the course of his law enforcement career, David wrote dozens of press releases, and had several appearances on national news outlets including: ABC Good Morning America, MSNBC, CNN, and CBS Morning News. He also appeared in episodes on Dateline, Investigation Discovery, and Inside Edition. David served as a consultant for a Lifetime movie titled The Girl in the Bunker. Over the years, David has served on many boards, commissions, and councils, and has been a volunteer for different organizations. He loves giving back to the community, in fact, proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to the Special Olympics. When he is not working, David and his wife, Denise, enjoy spending time with family and friends. They enjoy traveling to new places, and they love taking cruises. David loves the Lord, he loves his church, and his church family. This is his first published book; however, he is in the process of writing his next one.
