Carmel Shami

Greetings,

My name is Carmel Shami, and my greatest passion is empowering and inspiring children and adults to lead balanced lives. Balance creates the space and time to be and do what we truly desire. It fosters calmness, joy, connection, and creativity.

I am a wife and a mother of three amazing kids. Since a young age, I have enjoyed writing stories and poems, always dreaming of publishing one of my stories. When my youngest son was eight, he struggled with anxiety and had difficulty falling asleep. One night, I taught him my method of sorting and organizing, not in a physical space but with his thoughts. He loved the idea and began using it whenever he felt overwhelmed. Seeing a significant improvement in his ability to fall asleep, he said: "I feel less fearful." Inspired by his experience, I felt the need to share our method to help other kids facing similar challenges, and he even suggested naming the main character in the book Stressy Jessy – a persona he took when feeling nervous.

I was born and raised in Israel. At the age of 20, I moved to the United States and pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University. Following graduation, I had the privilege of working as a social worker, assisting seniors and bereaved families for over a decade.

In 2015, I merged my passion for helping people with my love for organizing, becoming a Professional Organizer and Productivity Consultant, and founded "The Organizing Whisperer." I assisted clients in organizing their space and time, guiding them toward clarity, balance, and flow in their daily lives.

These days, my primary focus is on writing, creating more stories and books to support children and adults in living balanced, joyful lives and becoming more intentional in their actions.

I look forward to assisting you and your child organize your thoughts, fostering calmness, and achieving balance.

Enjoy the book, and please let me know your thoughts!

Best Wishes,

Carmel Shami
