I was born in 1947 at a hospital in Honeypot Lane. Kingsbury. England. I come from a very poor background. I’m one of eight children. My mother was English. My father, Welsh.
My schooling was very poor. When I left school at fifteen I was a long way from ever being a writer, but there was something inside me urging me to write. One day while I while out fishing I accidentally touched my head on a electrified cattle wire fence. It was live!! I was knocked to the ground-by the force of the electricity. This event did something to my brain, shortly afterwards I started to write. I wrote non-stop for two years. Two sci-fi novels were written.(not yet published) Then I wrote a story about a pirate curse (Now published ) called Captain Wirgoil’s Challenge.
One day my Grandson asked me if I could write a children’s story. To my surprise I found that I could. I wrote fifty stories. Four books are now published called Kirkshaw Forest Stories, there’s a lot more to come.
I don’t know how I’m doing what I’m doing but I’m grateful for the opportunity. I’ve had such a lot of fun.
