Dave Thomas

Dave Thomas is a versatile Producer, Presenter, Journalist, Director, Screenplay Writer, and Author based in County Wicklow, Ireland. With a rich background in media, he has contributed to leading outlets like RTE Radio & TV, Newstalk, The Irish Times, The Sunday Times, the Irish Independent and many more.

Dave is also an innovator, having developed an educational board game for people with intellectual disabilities and co-founded a national arts center dedicated to inclusivity. His work in film has garnered multiple awards, including for his documentary 1 Billion, which has been celebrated at international festivals and received accolades like ‘Best Director’ in Los Angeles and ‘Best Producer’ in Milan.

He wrote, directed, and co-produced the drama film Aretha, winning numerous awards for his screenplay, and also created the short drama/comedy Seven Moments in Time. His documentary The Journey to Pride captures the revival of the Wicklow Pride Festival, which he co-founded with his husband, Patrick.
