Van Guines

Van Guines has studied to be a mystery writer thirty for 30 years and is now ready to apply his skills to this new mystery series. He writes about his hometown and his ancestors who were living legends from the past.

the books he writes are based on true stories that were passed down to him from family. The first book was written as a promise he made to his mother that he would tell the story about the murder of her father. Which has been a family mystery since before he was born. All the stories are based on the true unwritten history of Chattanooga.

His new books in the King of Alton Park series will take the reader to a time in history that most people have long forgotten. The stories take the reader to a time when we were colored. Most folks in America have no idea what that word would mean to Van and his family. Van was born at the end of segregation and was exposed to the real truth about that time in America's history.
