Gary Richardson

Growing up in a small Texas town in the 80's, I developed a love for video games, stories, adventure, and fantasy at an early age. I have always enjoyed telling stories and eventually decided to turn my love for storytelling into story writing. Inspired by the books I grew up reading, video games, and my children, I created multiple stories. My first releases are part of an epic series (The Ascension Legacy) but I have other works in the science fiction genre planned to release in the near future.

When I'm not writing, I am a husband, a father, a recent grandfather, and a working IT professional. I still enjoy playing games, especially video games. My favorite games are role-playing games (RPGs) like Everquest, the Final Fantasy series, games like Skyrim. I also enjoy regularly hosting Dungeons and Dragons campaigns with my friends and my kids.

My wife and I have 4 wonderful boys (now all young men). I share a different bond with each kid. One loves sports like I do. One loves Magic the Gathering like I do. One loves many of the same video games as I do. One is special needs and can create a bond like no other in the world. All of my boys are my closest friends and I could not imagine my life without them.

My wife and I are high school sweethearts but with a daytime soap opera-worthy history. That history has made us better than we could have expected and share a wonderful love that allows us to support and encourage each other in all of our endeavors. I could not have accomplished what I have without my wife's love and support.
