Kanchan Singh

Kanchan is the founder and CEO of Crumbs & Whiskers, DC and LA’s first cat cafes. She is also a poet, writer, and artist. Her debut book, Dear Me, I Love You, will be available to order on November 19th and covers topics like emotional and mental health, healing from abuse and trauma, and doing deep self-work. Her passions include animal welfare, feminine healing, and poetic & artistic storytelling.

She founded her cat cafe after quitting her job as a management consultant and raising $36,000 on Kickstarter. Her first DC cafe accrued $22,000 in revenues on its first day in business. Since then, Crumbs & Whiskers has seen the likes of Paris Hilton, Kate Walsh, Bella Thorne, and Jennifer Garner come through its doors. As of 2021, Crumbs & Whiskers has partnered with local animal rescues to save over 3,700 cats from euthanasia.

Her debut book, Dear Me, I Love You, focuses on her own story: one of healing trauma and finding self-love. All proceeds from Dear Me, I Love You will be reinvested into Crumbs & Whiskers to help find homes for more adoptable kittens and cats.
