Clarence A. Haynes

Clarence A. Haynes is the cowriter of the Afrofuturist novel NUBIA: THE AWAKENING with Omar Epps as well as the author of the short historical work THE LEGACY OF JIM CROW.

A native New Yorker, Clarence served as an associate editor with the Doubleday Broadway division of Random House and the imprint Harlem Moon before going on to work as a developmental editor for titles with Amazon Publishing under imprints like 47North, which specializes in sci-fi/fantasy, and Skyscape, which specializes in YA fiction. He also handles projects for Legacy Lit, a part of Hachette Book Group.

Clarence lives primarily in Brooklyn; wherever he goes, he tries to surround himself with books.
