Hello, my name is David. I am an English teacher and writer whose stories explore spirituality and faith in everyday life. They often focus on the relationship between a mentor and a pupil, where the mentor creates space for the pupil to grow emotionally, mentally and spiritually through gentle guidance. As the pupil develops a sense of wonder about the beauty of life, I hope the reader does too. This reflects my experience working in a Montessori high school, where I learnt a great deal about fostering a community in which young people can realise their innate potential.

I have always been fascinated by religion and spirituality, and my stories draw on a range of religious ideas. Rather than belonging to any single tradition, they are shaped by my own life experiences. I believe love, faith, compassion and tolerance are essential to any religion, and I hope readers recognise these qualities in my work.
