Daan Katz

Author and poet Daan Katz writes Dark Fantasy with psychological thriller elements in a contemporary setting. His often disturbing stories are inspired by real life, which truly is stranger than fiction.

As someone living with multiple disabilities, both visible and invisible, it’s one of Katz’s missions to promote accessibility through his writing. His disabled characters are no helpless victims but strong people willing to do whatever it takes to achieve their goals.

Katz studied theology in Belgium, psychology at Utrecht University, and is a certified editor and proofreader. He is fluent in English and Dutch, speaks German and some French, and has a basic understanding of several other languages.

When he’s not writing, Katz escapes reality through his musical journeys into the Baroque era, singing the enchanting tenor arias of famous composers such as Bach, Handel and Purcell.
