D. T. Timmerman

D. T. Timmerman is a speaker, author, and coach with a passion for helping leaders reimagine their individual and organizational potential. Derik has presented to over 500,000 people in audiences throughout the United States and around the world. His driving motivation is helping leaders maximize their world-changing impact.

Prior to becoming a nonprofit impact consultant, Derik graduated in the top 5% of his class at the United States Military Academy at West Point. In the aftermath of September 11th, 2001, Derik was twice deployed to Iraq as a Military Intelligence Officer where he was awarded two Bronze Star Medals for distinguished service in combat. Following the military, Derik was a global management consultant with McKinsey & Company where he led Fortune 500 companies to build high-performing cultures.

In recent years, Derik's leadership through Sparrow Nonprofit Solutions has guided dozens of nonprofit organizations to unprecedented levels of impact. As a speaker and author, Derik draws upon timeless stories of nonprofit leaders to give today's professionals an exciting new definition of success.

Derik lives in Golden, Colorado where he spends his free time enjoying the outdoors with his three energetic boys and curling up in a good book with his lazy English Bulldog.
