La Shauna Richardson

La Shauna's mission is to provide all children with picture books that share the stories of Black and Brown children. Through these books, she hopes to affirm that children of color's stories matter and build stronger bonds within individual families and across the human family. In addition to writing books, La Shauna is a licensed therapist with extensive experience working with children and families. She and her husband, L.A. Kimo, live in New Jersey with their two sons. In their spare time, you can find them reading, traveling (or at least daydreaming about it), and baking (we'll let you guess who is the baker and who is the eater).
