Hello everyone, I was born a long long time ago, in November 1939, in the town of GrandMère, Québec Province. I was number two of a family of seven children, four boys and three girls. We grew up with wonderful parents. My four brothers and I developed a deep and loving relationship. In 1955, I had the opportunity to go to school in Plattsburgh, NY to learn English. When I returned home, I was the only young person in our town who spoke English. I was immediately hired by Bell Canada. Later, I transferred to Montréal, became a hostess in the telephone company exhibit at Expo-67. In 1970, I was hired by an American medical supply company as their sales representative for Eastern Canada. Three years later, I was promoted to be responsible for sales in all of Canada and moved to Toronto. In 1976, I was offered a transfer to Boston where I worked for another twelve years and retired at age forty-seven. I have lived in several small towns in Québec Province then moved to Montréal, Toronto, Boston, New Hampshire, and now, I reside in Naples, Florida.
Over the years, I attended classes at McGill, Northeastern University, Quincy Community College and Florida Gulf Coast University but I only obtained my GED in February 2000 graduating with dropouts and paroled kids. I studied the Spanish language in Costa Rica, Mexico and Spain. I have travelled extensively, volunteered for a variety of causes, learned construction by managing the building of my large home in New Hampshire. I skied extensively in Canada, the United States North East, Colorado, Utah and in Europe. After my retirement, I ventured to learn to scuba dive and loved it. While I had meaningful relationships, I never married.
The most significant accomplishment of my life is the adoption of my children from Siberia at age sixty-five, which led me to write and publish, at age eighty-one, the beautiful story of their adoption. The book, “We’re Going Home” by C.C. LeBlanc will bring laughter and tears but you will also be spellbound while reading this incredible true story filled with love, determination, courage and yes, sheer guts.
