Prabhleen K. Lamba

Prabhleen Kaur Lamba is an athlete, advocate, and author. In her breakout book, She Plays to Win, Lamba explores the world of women’s sports and equality, and its effects on young girls.

Lamba advocates for women's equality through the Girls S.T.E.A.M. Institute, a nonprofit organization that works to empower girls in athletics. Prabhleen was also a finalist in the She Believes Hero Contest, held by the U.S. Soccer Federation and Women’s National Soccer Team, for her hard work in gender and sports equality. In her most recent project with TOGETHXR, a media company run by top female Olympians, Lamba discusses her advocacy work in She Plays to Win.

Prabhleen’s advocacy passions began with her experiences in sports, and while she tried her hand at gymnastics and swimming, it is basketball that has her heart.
