Bev Thorogood is the founder and director of Floresco Training Ltd, a UK based learning provider specialising in building skills to help develop and retain valuable female talent in the workplace.
She particularly specialises in helping businesses and organisations to support their female workforce through workshops and seminars to raise awareness, and break down the taboo, of menopause and to get the conversation started about this natural phase in a woman’s lifecycle.
During a 32 year career working within the Ministry of Defence, she spent the final 10 years in Learning and Development before setting up her own training and coaching business in 2018.
Bev set up Floresco (which is Latin and means ‘to flourish’!) to help develop the skillsets of women in the workplace, to raise awareness for all employees, and to support women to continue to be a valuable and productive asset to their employer and to have a fulfilling career throughout and beyond their menopause transition.
A certified NLP Practitioner and a member of the British Menopause Society, she is dedicated to helping employers and colleagues to understand the impact of menopause on working women.
A self-confessed learning junkie, Bev has a BA in Business and Enterprise, is a certified sports nutritionist, personal trainer and behaviour change coach and is currently studying a post graduate diploma in executive coaching and mentoring.
Since setting up Floresco Training Limited she has had the privilege of working with hundreds of businesses and talking to thousands of employees, of all genders, to help raise the profile of menopause in the workplace and has helped break down the taboo to make menopause mainstream.
In her spare time she loves spending quality moments with her family. She has 2 amazing grown up kids, and a gorgeous granddaughter as well as a mad Jack Russell called Lucy. She enjoys listening to traditional Irish folk music and playing the Irish frame drum (the bodhran), singing badly and occasionally plucking the guitar. Her favourite times are spent travelling to new places and finding lovely restaurants to try.
